Travis Zack, MD, PhD, of OpenEvidence and UCSF, spoke with Jame Abraham, MD, FACP, of Cleveland Clinic—both editorial advisory board members of ASCO AI in Oncology—about the future of AI use in oncology, including how practice is changing with the use of AI and what further AI innovations may be coming down the road to transform the oncology field even more. Dr. Zack stressed that AI will be a part of life going forward and AI literacy is very important for physicians, especially in counseling of patients. Physicians need to be an active participant in this transformative era to ensure that AI can meaningfully solve clinical problems in a way that is safe for patients.
