Annabelle Fonseca, MD, MHS, discusses her poster presentation from the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting, about the use of machine learning and electronic health records to identify patients with pancreatic cancer who are at risk for receiving treatment that is not aligned with guidelines. The findings suggest that machine learning models could be used to trigger early referrals to navigation and supportive services to potentially improve patient outcomes.
