Ravi Parikh, MD, MPP, FACP, of Emory University and the Editor-in-Chief of ASCO AI in Oncology, spoke with Aaron Cohen, MD, MSCE, of Flatiron Health and Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, NYU Langone School of Medicine, during the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting about his poster presentation, which was a large language model (LLM)–based thematic analysis of how clinicians and patients discussed the results of landmark clinical trials as part of their shared decision-making. The analysis explored factors that influence the adoption of standard-of-care treatments and areas of discussion between clinicians and patients.
